Travelogues: A Thousand Words for a Picture

Hello!

We've got something exciting planned for all of you!
Frere Hall - Saddar
It is pretty well heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, well, we decided to take you up on that. The School of Writing introduces the Travelogue Workshop, Memoirs of City starting from 11th February 2012 till 31st March 2012, every Saturday.
The Workshop focuses on combining the aspects of photography and writing to teach you how to write a Travelogue but what is a Travelogue?
Fun Times with Friends
A Travelogue is a record or a diary of the events, sights and personal experiences that a traveller experiences as they go from one place to another. You can include anything in your travelogue, from the majestic and breath taking architecture to goofing around with friends on the way to your destination. Often times, the image remains but you somehow forget what that special joke etc was that made the trip so memorable. Or, it could be the scrumptious food you dined on, the animals you say, the green lush landscape or the people that you met who made the trip so enjoyable. It really is up to you to choose what to include in your travelogue and decide on aspects that made the trip noteworthy in your eyes.
St. Patrick's Cathedral - Saddar
Sea View
The TSW Travelogue Workshop will help guide beginners to learn how to carefully choose what to include or what not to, how to edit through their work and where to see the beauty in our own city. This Travelogue workshop on a selected area in Karachi is a chance for you to see and realize how much you love your own city, how you can find hidden beauty in it's architecture, people and culture. The whole purpose of the workshop is to help you fall in love again with the bright vibrant city by looking at the city through the perspective of your lens. Karachi is not only the biggest city of Pakistan but is also a mix of diverse cultures with many areas of the city reflecting these different cultural influences. Living in such a diverse and hustling bustling city, how can you not want to capture every moment and write it down.
The city is full of  quaint surprises and we are here to help you find them!
